Hindsight Hero Releases “More to Life!”
Who are the “Hero’s” behind this new rock anthem?
Hindsight Hero is a female fronted four piece hard rock band based in vibrant, musical Nashville, Tennessee. This hard rock powerhouse is composed of seasoned musicians. Each musician brings their own unique sound, and musical influences with them to which can be heard through their music. Their combined sound and vocal stylings will leave you mesmerized and a fan for life, or in my case “fan girling.” No one could have anticipated that a simple friend request on Facebook, and a fly by the seat of your pants chance meeting up in Nashville, Tennessee, would lead to a meeting of an iconic band such as Hindsight Hero!
The front woman Kelly Nichole, who should be wearing a cape is originally from Butler, Pennsylvania. She was born in Torrance, California. Kelly was previously a member of the rock band known as “Highway 4.” She would stay with this band for around seven years (2010-2017.) Some of Kelly’s musical influences are mostly vocal related include Haley Williams, Chris Cornell, Adam Lambert, Carrie Underwood, and even Nickelback, just to name a few. All of these artists are all vocal geniuses in their own right. Kelly’s voice brings a sense of balance, but do not be fooled she can most certainly dig down deep and let it fiercely roar.
The man in all his honor and clad Jordan Foster, is the guitarist as well as the Vox, and is a songwriter behind the band. Jordan was born and raised in West, Tennessee, and now resides in Nashville. The experienced guitarist has played and toured within numerous projects. The projects would include notorious bands such as Kings Avail, Within Reason, Crash Pilot, and many more. Jordan’s influences are absolute rock giants. Some of these rock giants are Stevie Ray Vaughn, Angus Young, Ian Thornley, Alter Bridge, Sevendust, and Shinedown.
You can catch Nick Yates, strumming it up on the bass guitar. Yates, who was born in Houston, Texas settled his roots in Lexington, Tennessee. Nick would begin playing guitar at the age of nine. He has written songs as well as played in several bands before transitioning to bass, and exclusively did so for Hindsight Hero. Nick made this transition in mid- 2023. Nick also has some very notable musical influences such as the rock legends Pantera, John Mayer, Slash, Foo Fighters, and Korn.
The one that packs an absolute punch with every beat of his drum, is none other than Rob Mead. Mead who is originally from Paris, Tennessee, was born in Norwich, New York. Rob is no stranger when it comes to playing in heavy hitting bands. Some of his previous bands include Kings Avail, and was the drummer from 2013- 2023. Rob, was also the singer for Echoes in Silence from 2011-2013. Mead’s musical influences are absolutely some of the best with bands like Red, Matchbox Twenty, Rain City Drive, Dark New Day, and even country star Luke Combs.

“More to Life” and the breakdown you have been waiting for.
This single “More to Life” is an intense, intricately crafted journey through existential questioning. The absolute raw and all too relatable lyrics is layered with out of this world instrumentation. The track packs an absolute punch, and will leave a lasting impact. Hindsight Hero has made their stance and will not back down when it comes to having a powerful new rock voice. When asked if there is a story behind the song, Front woman Kelly, says “While there is no actual story behind it, the song acts as a positive message.” “A message that any listener can apply to their own story.” This single is intended to be a source of light to it’s listeners, no matter what level of darkness they are currently under. Everyone has experienced existential questioning, and will absolutely think back on that time in their life.
The single comes off the cusp of two other singles that Hindsight Hero has released in the past year. The debut single “Fade Away,” is a single that focuses on introspective thoughts, where distractions can and often times will block the path to greatness. The second hard hitting single released by these hero’s was one called “Years Before.” This song is described as being retrospective, where diving into the past can provide growth and improvement while on your journey to self discovery. With “More to Life” being the lament. It’s an awareness of spiraling negative thought patterns, and guilt surrounding bad decisions that you know shaped your experience. “More to Life,” has an alt-rock feel that any millennial will be singing along to and blaring as if it’s the new rock anthem that we had been waiting for. You can hear every musical influence and every bit of heart and soul that went into intricately crafting this sucker punch of a song. It catches you off guard in a way that you cannot get it out of your head, and will be singing it randomly throughout the day.
The band Hindsight Hero, has become some of the best at pioneering hype videos and creating reels in promotion to a single drop. I know Kelly, has some of the most quirky and hilarious reels on Youtube. I am sure it helps to have the fellow band mates eagerly participate in the promotion of this track. I am confident that the release of this song will garner the attention that is so deserves. This single is sure to make it’s lasting stance in the world of rock.
